Film Skills For Peacemakers
This course provides practical filmmaking skills to all those involved in peacemaking, conflict resolution and witness programmes: human rights and NGO activists, solidarity and campaign groups, students, researchers and academic staff. This course is useful for record-keeping, campaigning, opinion building, lobbying, web publishing and the making of short or longer documentaries. Institutions that don’t have their own film unit, individuals who have no or little formal training in filmmaking and are unlikely to find the time for one, those who need to provide a strong audiovisual content in their web pages and students interested in filmmaking and visual journalism will benefit from this course. The course provides practical filmmaking skills and tips in filming, sound recording, basic editing and marketing and publishing of the product. It can be adjusted to suit specific requirements.
